‘White Lotus’ Star Aimee Lou Wood Goes Darker Thanks to Tracey Cunningham

04/13/2025

From the moment she stepped on screen, Aimee Lou Wood’s star-crossed, scene-stealing “Chelsea” stole our hearts on this season of “The White Lotus.” Whether it was her wardrobe, glam or hair — all artfully beachy — it was clear that she was that girl.

We’re still not over the finale, tbh.

Now that the show has wrapped, Wood has gone much darker. Teaming up with celebrity hairstylist and Schwarzkopf Professional U.S. Creative Director of Color & Technique, Tracey Cunningham, we got a total transformation. Cunningham went for a richer, more dimensional brunette, using Igora Royal to create tonal depth with a soft, lived-in edge. And, she gave us the formula!

Get the Look:

Lows:

  • IGORA ROYAL 6-1 (30g) + 5-1 (20g) + 6-00 (10g) with 6-volume developer
    • Creates a cool, dimensional lowlight with soft ash reflect and added depth.
  • IGORA ROYAL 7-0 (50g) + 6-0 (50g) with 6-volume developer
    • For a natural, balanced lowlight that blends seamlessly with mid-tones.
  • IGORA ROYAL 7-0 (100g) with 6-volume developer
    • Used for subtle, natural depth while maintaining a soft, sun-kissed effect.

In Between:

  •  IGORA ROYAL 6-1 (40g) + 5-1 (20g) with 6-volume developer
    • Applied in transition zones to create cool, ashy depth and softly blend between highlights and lows.

Zone 2 (Mid-lengths/Blend Zone):

  • IGORA VIBRANCE 6N (5g) + 7NB (10g) + 6NG (20g)
    • A multidimensional blend of neutral, beige, and soft gold tones to add natural warmth and shine through the mids while keeping the overall tone balanced and polished.
