Now that we’re all at home, we’re looking for ways to keep ourselves entertained. Enter TikTok, the video app filled with pranks, life hacks and different challenges involving everything from dancing to hair (remember the Purple Shampoo Challenge?).
Hair videos are at an all-time high right now, as salons are closed and we’re all experiencing major boredom. Thanks to TikTok, we’re entertaining ourselves by watching users try cutting their own bangs or attempt a buzz cut. (Seriously, put the scissors down if you’re not a professional!) While these videos are enjoyable to watch, there is a safer hair trend that everyone can participate in: Robe Curls
With over 6 million views, #RobeCurls offer a fun and easy way to get perfectly bouncy curls with no heat. All you have to do is place the tie from your bathrobe around your head like a headband and divide damp hair into two sections. Then, wrap it around the fabric and secure at the bottom. For best results, crisscross hair at the ends so that it curls in different directions. Leave in overnight and wake up to beautifully curly locks!
While life hacks can sometimes seem impossible, this one is fairly easy to execute, and it actually works. It’s a heat-free way to curl your hair, and the results might just give your quarantine look the pick-me-up it needs.
It works on shorter hair…
Super long hair…
And even pros can get in on the fun!
Celebrity Hairstylist Justine Marjan gave the hack a try, and she was not disappointed! Reposting her TikTok on Instagram, Marjan shared that the hack gave her “a bigger, more bouncy curl pattern.”
