08/20/2024

Following an extraordinary career, salon professional industry icon Robert Cromeans has announced his retirement from John Paul Mitchell Systems (JPMS). Cromeans has been an integral part of JPMS for over three decades as a hairdresser, salon owner and platform artist, sharing innovative artistry and proven business strategies with hairdressers around the globe.

Over the years, he has inspired many with his passion, creativity and leadership.

After joining the company as a Paul Mitchell Associate, Cromeans became a protégé of the renowned Jeane Braa and quickly rose to become Artistic Director in 2000, followed by Global Artistic & Business Director in 2016. He has been instrumental in the development and launch of many successful artistic collections and business systems, including the revolutionary salon business — building concepts of Take Home, The Wash House and The Color Bar. Cromeans has founded several salons, including the mega-successful A Robert Cromeans Salon in San Diego, California.

Throughout his career, Cromeans has traveled extensively to educate, motivate and mentor thousands of hair professionals in over 40 countries. He has captivated audiences worldwide with his charisma, humor, artistry and business acumen.

On Cromeans’ retirement, John Paul DeJoria, JPMS Co-Founder and Chairman of the Board, said, “We are immensely grateful for Robert’s service, dedication and friendship. He has made a lasting impact on our company and our industry. His legacy will continue to inspire and influence generations to come.”
