The Tease: How do you want to use your platform as a new OLAPLEX Global Brand Ambassador to get your message out, and what is that message/takeaway?
Francois: As a new Olaplex Global Brand Ambassador, aligning with OLAPLEX feels like the natural next step in my journey within the industry. We’re collectively disrupting the status quo, and bold innovation is at the heart of everything we’re doing and aiming to do together. My goal is to continue pushing boundaries in haircare, using this platform to inspire others to embrace the cutting-edge technology that OLAPLEX offers while staying true to the core principles of hair health and craftsmanship.
For me, this partnership is all about elevating the conversation around what it means to truly care for hair and how mastering your craft leads to consistent, impactful results. Through this collaboration, I aim to share my knowledge and passion with both seasoned professionals and aspiring stylists, showing that with the right tools and mindset, you can achieve greatness in this industry.
What are the top three things in your styling kit you cannot live without?
Francois:

It allows me to view the world through a unique lens, giving me fresh perspectives in ways that inspire creativity across so many areas of my life. Dyslexia has shaped how I navigate my artistry, and I’m forever grateful for that. Rather than seeing it as a challenge, I now embrace it as a source of strength and innovation, something that fuels my creativity in ways I never expected.
You’ve been named Hollywood’s most influential hairstylist for four years running. Congratulations! How does that keep you excited and motivated?
Francois: Thank you! While I’m honored by the title, I’m not necessarily motivated by it in itself. I see it as something given from an outside perspective. What really drives me is my passion for consistently delivering my best and fully immersing myself in each collaboration with my clients. I strive to highlight the most beautiful and authentic aspects of their individuality, and when that is celebrated, it means the world to me. I believe it’s that commitment to my craft that has kept me in this position, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful.
You’ve traveled the world and your work has been seen by millions! That’s amazing! What would you like to say on behalf of OLAPLEX that can influence those who strive to propel their careers in beauty and hairdressing/styling?
Francois: Mastering your craft is absolutely essential—not just for the return on investment, but for creating consistency and setting yourself apart in a crowded industry. When you truly dedicate yourself to your artistry, it allows you to rise above the noise and create a lasting impact. One key element of success is finding an agent who believes in you as a person, not just in your work. Your craftsmanship and dedication will always outshine any artificial intelligence or shortcut. Authentic, hands-on skill is what builds a career with longevity, and that’s something no technology can replace.
Who are your hair heroes and why?
Francois: There’s a handful of people I often think about to this day, as each one has played a significant role in elevating my artistry and opening doors to new opportunities. My heroes span across all fields, from independent artists to leaders within the hair industry. I’ve been fortunate to be mentored by some incredibly successful entrepreneurs who’ve shaped not just my career, but how I approach creativity and business. These relationships have taught me the value of versatility, resilience, and community, and they remind me that we grow best when we lean into one another’s expertise and vision. I’m grateful to still stay connected with these mentors, as they continue to inspire and challenge me in all the best ways.
