If you’ve ever tuned into shows like Euphoria and Hollywood Heights or movies like BAPS and Challengers, you’re already familiar with the magic of Kim Kimble.
Known for her incredible talent behind the scenes, Kimble is the remarkable stylist who transforms hair into works of art, bringing characters and celebrities like Beyonce, Shakira, Zendaya, Oprah, and Gabrielle Union to life.
Kimble’s career began as a shampoo girl in her mother’s salon, where she gained hands-on experience and developed a diverse skill set by working with various stylists.
After facing rejections from multiple salons following beauty school, she found an opportunity to work at a barbershop. This experience not only sharpened her cutting skills but also opened doors to new opportunities.
While at the barbershop, Kimble seized a chance to work on a stage play, which led her to meet Robert Towson’s assistant – a connection that proved to be crucial for her career.
Fast forward a year, and after opening her own salon, Kimble caught the eye of Towson when he strolled into her salon with none other than Halle Berry! This encounter landed her the lead stylist role BAPS.
“I thought it was the end of the world when I didn’t get accepted at those salons, but it really was not, because where I ended up going is where I got my biggest blessing. It changed my career from that point on”.
Kimble’s career continued with her role on Euphoria, where she collaborates closely with director Sam Levinson. She emphasized the importance of understanding the script and how hair helps tell each character’s story.
Kimble dives into all things Kim Kimble Haircare, sharing insights about her dynamic partnership with HSN, her collaboration with HairUWear featuring versatile and stylish wigs, and her upcoming salon launch in LA that will specialize in braids, extensions, and wigs.
