Bellami recently released a highly-anticipated collaboration with celebrity hairstylist Andrew Fitzsimons, and kindly invited me to experience the installation process for myself. The brand invited me to Bellami Beauty Bar in New York City with Bellami stylist Janet Reynoso.
I had never been to a beauty bar before so i did not know what to expect. The space was gorgeous, bright, and inviting. Janet greeted me and we began discussing how I envision using my ponytail. I wanted to wear it up high so we decided on the longer, 24 inch length in mochachino brown. They had 23 shades, ranging from natural, to highlighted, and ombre.
After the consultation, we walked to the back of the beauty bar and Janet began the installation. I thoroughly enjoyed this because it made me feel more confident in installing it all home for important events, but I also learned that I can make an appointment at the Bellami Beauty Bar anytime if I want the professional touch. Janet assured me that this pony is meant to be accessible at home and she checked in with me every step of the installation to make sure I understood how to use it.
After Janet got the part and pony placement right, she began securing my real hair in place. Janet used a special bungee style ponytail holder to get it super tight and secure so it could support the weight of the ponytail, which I thought was so smart. Next she teased the top of my real ponytail so the Bellami ponytail could hook into my hair. After securing the first part of the ponytail to my hair, she used open pins to secure it all the way around. She finished it off with the final piece, a special strand of hair to wrap around the pony to leave a smooth, sleek look.
Janet was a delight to get to know and really made my experience special. I would recommend this ponytail to any stylist who does hair for events like photoshoots, red carpets, weddings, and even prom! Your clients will love the idea of a removable ponytail extension because it is low commitment but also highly effective in glamming up a look!
