Let’s face it: going blonde in the summer is about as groundbreaking as wearing florals in the spring. And yet, this simple fact hasn’t stopped our favorite celebrity men from ditching their darker strands in favor of a brighter blonde.
Whether they’ve dyed their hair for an upcoming role or were just desperate for a change, over the last few months we’ve seen a surge of stars like Adam Levine, Dylan O’Brien, and David Beckham take the bleached plunge. And, this trend is showing no signs of slowing down. In fact, every few days it seems as though another celeb guy is debuting their newly lightened locks on Instagram.
With so many men in Hollywood serving up Big Blonde Energy, we decided to round up a few of our favorite blonde moments below. Ahead, six celebrity men who have recently dyed their hair blonde.
Taylor Zakar Perez
The Kissing Booth 3 star recently debuted a bleached-blonde buzzcut that came courtesy of hairstylist Sherlyn Suzette and we must admit that he wears the bold look well.
Dylan O’Brien
O’Brien sent the Internet into a massive frenzy after he traded in his signature brunette locks for a blonde buzzcut to prepare for his upcoming role in the film “Not Okay”. As one Twitter user put it, “This movie is called “Not Okay” because after this I’M DEFINITELY NOT OKAY.” The TikTok video unveiling the star’s hair transformation has since been viewed over 12.3 million times.
Adam Levine
The Maroon 5 frontman is no stranger to rocking a platinum ‘do. In fact, the star told Jimmy Kimmel back in 2018 that he often bleaches his hair because his wife Behati Prinsloo is a fan of the look. “My wife loves it when I do it,” Levine explained. “Why would you do anything that would put you in a less than advantageous position when it came to the person you want to sleep with you?! You want that from them.” Knowing this, we have a feeling that the star’s wife is absolutely loving the blond mohawk that he was spotted with earlier this summer.
David Beckham
Though Beckham has been experimenting with blonde hair since he first dyed his locks platinum back in 1998, we must admit that his recent take on the look just might be our favorite one yet. The star recently buzzed and bleached his hair an icy hue to match his 18-year-old son Romeo and we are obsessed!
Maluma
From bright blue to dusty pink, Maluma has been known to constantly switch up his hair color. At the moment, the singer is currently sporting ice-blond tips, proving that one of the ‘90s most questionable hair trends really has made a comeback!
Ross Butler
Butler recently took to Instagram to show off his new blond buzzcut and judging by the comments on the post, his followers were just as excited about his new hairstyle as we are.
