Cécred Centers Hair in New ‘Backstory’ Campaign

Cécred, Beyoncé’s much buzzed-about haircare brand, has just announced a new digitally native campaign featuring sacred hair stories and authentic experiences of three influential LA-based creatives. The campaign, “Cécred Backstory,” aims to create a new archetype of who is honored and appreciated in the beauty industry.

Shot documentary-style, Cécred expertly merges the art of visual storytelling with beauty to uplift and unite their community through non-traditional, editorial content that empowers viewers to show up as they choose, starting in the salon and beyond.

The first episode features Los Angeles native and multidisciplinary artist Marquel can be viewed here. Marquel’s story showcases how he embraces his natural hair, finding confidence and strength in his individuality. Cécred’s Nourishing Hair Oil has been an integral part of his routine, helping him maintain his distinctive style.
