Carlos Rojas Shares How to Recreate Valeria Sandoval’s ’24 Latin Grammys Red Carpet Hairstyle

Social media sensations, singer Valeria Sandoval and hair colorist Carlos Rojas teamed up for last night’s Latin Grammys and delivered belleza. With Rojas’s expert help, and Schwarzkopf Professional color, care and styling products, the Colombian entertainer debuted an all-new, deep red hair color that was playfully styled for the 25th annual awards show. Rojas is, of course, part of Schwarzkopf’s digital artistic team.

Before the pair settled on the final red carpet style, they knew it was time to change up Sandoval’s color. Rojas said, “I wanted Valeria to feel like the star that she is. So when the conversation came up of blonde? Brunette? Red? When it came to the big night Rojas was incredibly intentional. He said, “when you think about red carpet style, you’re not just thinking about the hair, you’re thinking about how the hair is going to enhance the makeup and enhance the outfit. The two piece ensemble Valeria chose is fun, young, and one of a kind.” He continued, “the hairstyle we chose had both hard and soft elements. Get the Look: The Style

1. “First, I prepped the hair with OSiS+ Grip Extreme Hold Mousse on damp hair and blew dry that in.
2. Then I used OSiS+ Flexwax Ultra Strong Cream Wax to make the front sleek and tied it with a rubber band in the nape area. 
3. Then I used a one inch curling iron to curl the back. 
4. I used OSiS+ Glow Anti-Frizz Shine Serum on the curls before brushing them out for shine. 
5. Then I used OSiS+ Elastic Light Hold Hairspray to set everything where I wanted.
6. I used OSiS+ Freeze Medium Hold Hairspray a foot away in the back for a soft looking hold and used Freeze in the front 6 inches away to give it more of a ‘wet’ hold.”
