After years of conquering the hair care category, clean hair care brand Briogeo just launched its first-ever styling collection.
Made with up to 99% naturally derived ingredients, the Style + Treat Collection is formulated without silicones, drying alcohols, animal waxes or petrolatum, and instead relies on clean key ingredients such as on yuzu extract, plum oil and super B-complex, that promise to protect the hair from environmental aggressors, provide moisture and strengthen strands.
The collection features four new products, including a styling stick, leave-in, mousse or styling foam, and an oil sculpting cream, and ranges in price from $23 to $26. All of the styling products promise to deliver nourishment and help achieve frizz-free, effortless everyday looks and red-carpet-ready styles. The lowest priced item in the range, the Yuzu + Plum Oil Sleek Stick, is a smooth styling stick that helps achieve a frizz-free slick back hair style or pulled back look. This smooth, silky wax is perfect for day three hair that needs a bit of styling, in between washes, or just to help achieve that all around spoken clean-girl hair bun. The brand promises that it offers a 24-hour hold and leaves a sleek, glossy finish to the hair.The stick can be applied directly to dry hair or fingers to tame the frizz and thanks to its compact look, it is perfect to carry around for on-the-go touch-ups.
Yuzu + Plum Oil Soft Power Air Dry Cream
For wash-days, the brand released the Yuzu + Plum Oil Soft Power Air Dry Cream, a light and creamy leave-in cream for heatless styling. The light-weight cream dries down to be soft and touchable, avoiding a crunchy feeling to the hair. Suitable for both thick and thin strands depending on the amount you apply, the air dry cream should be applied evenly to damp hair starting at the mid-lengths to ends. For wave definition, scrunch or twirl the hair with your fingers and then let air dry for a natural frizz free finish. You can add a little bit more at the end for added shine and polish.
Yuzu + Plum Oil Full Miracle Styling Foam
The Yuzu + Plum Oil Full Miracle Styling Texture Foam is here to help us achieve volume! This product is versatile and lightweight, making it a great product for a voluminous blowout, defining curls, or providing texture. The foam is light and airy and it dries down to be soft and weightless, but the biggest bang-for-your-buck is the product prevents protein damage from heat styling by providing styling protection up to 450F. For a voluminous blowout you should apply 1-2 pumps to damp roots and blow dry with a round brush to enhance the volume. For defined waves and curls, apply 2-3 pumps to wet hair and style accordingly, by twirling hair sections or scrunching your hair. For a tousled texture apply 1-2 pumps to dry hair and let it air dry for a lived-in finish.
Yuzu + Plum Oil Light Work Sculpting Crème
The last but not least product is the Yuzu + Plum Oil Light Work Sculpting Crème, a buildable demi-matte sculpting pomade that provides a 24-hour hold and definition for flexible styling. This soft-matte cream can be added on dry or damp hair, depending on the hairstyle you’re planning to achieve, and is buildable enough that can be both used on freshly styled hair to add a piecey texture.
