It looks like a new face will be joining the Wella Professionals family! Today, the professional hair brand announced that balayage expert, stylist educator, and salon owner Amy McManus will be coming on board as their newest brand ambassador.
Considering McManus is known for unique approach to balayage and is seen as a leader in balayage technique education, her partnership with Wella Professionals couldn’t be more of a perfect fit.
“As an industry leader and innovator, it’s a blessing in my career to get the chance to work with Wella Professionals artists, educators, and industry professionals that inspire me,” she said, in a statement. “I’m so excited to learn all that Wella Professionals brings to the industry and use it to elevate my skill set. From Koleston Perfect and Illumina to Color Touch and a wide array of lighteners and toners, the brand has so many gorgeous shades to choose from and customize my clients’ color.”
In 2016, McManus first made a name for herself in balayage and quickly emerged as an innovator in the space. After 25 years of working behind the chair as a salon owner, she turned her sights on Youtube and Instagram as a way to provide balayage education and inspiration with the hairdresser community. Her efforts paid off tremendously and since then, she has built a captive audience of more than 317k Instagram followers.
But, besides her 30 years of experience, McManus also brings a genuine love and passion for Wella Professionals’ products.
“I’ve been using Wella Professionals Blondor and Freelights for three years and have loved how much it’s changed my work behind the chair,” she said. “The consistency of both lighteners makes my application effortless on my clients.”
With this new role, McManus is certainly in good company. She joins the ranks of other notable Wella Professionals Brand Ambassadors including Briana Cisneros, Ryan Weeden, Zach Mesquit, and Patricia Nikole.
“We’re delighted to welcome another powerful and dynamic female artist and industry leader to our impressive roster of brand ambassadors,” Carole Protat, Senior Director of Education, said of the new partnership. “Amy is a perfect fit for our Wella family, she brings a combination of industry experience, fresh perspective, and love for education to our team. We look forward to collaborating with Amy and continuing to elevate the craft together!”
