Walmart clippers and BIC shavers opened the doors to endless possibilities for Patrick Regan. For sixteen-year-old Patrick, more famously known as @patty_cuts, cutting hair was a passion he shared with people around his neighborhood—but not a passion he intended to turn into a career.
Pat is a figure many of us know in the world of barbering for his skills, creativity, and influential contributions to the industry. With his specialty for fades as precise as blades, he has worked with a diverse clientele of celebrities, athletes, influencers, and more, all seeking the @patty_cuts look.
“I look at someone’s hair before I look at their outfit. I think your hair sets the mark for how you present yourself. You can see what a haircut can do for someone.”
In season three episode six of Volume Up by The Tease, we hear from Pat how he got his first celebrity client and how his career took off from there. “I’m a firm believer in photography and I took it very seriously. I went on YouTube every night, and every day I would practice what I learned. I learned how to shoot people, what heights, what angles, and I’m a firm believer that that’s what took my career to the next level.”
