Beauty professionals are springing into action helping those impacted by the unprecedented wildfires that have rocked the Los Angeles metro area since last week. Some have opened their salons for complimentary services to Angelenos, while others like, Anissa Salazar and Mara Roszak, have donated their own product to organizations gathering supplies.
Another approach has been ensuring beauty professionals receive direct aid. Celebrity groomer and author, Andrea Pezzillo, has been on a mission to share links to GoFundMe pages set up to help pros that she knows — posting constantly as new links appear. Now, celebrity hairstylist Cherilyn Farris has compiled a detailed google doc which details known groomers, hairstylists and makeup artists by name, linking to the respective gofundme pages. All of the info that’s known in one place. Please consider contributing if you’re in a position to do so.
Access the google doc here.
If you are aware of a beauty professional who has lost their kit, house or livelihood and want to add them to the list, Farris invites a direct message via Instagram. In addition to direct aid, donating to PBA’s Disaster Relief Fund is another way to ensure that beauty professionals receive the help they so urgently need.
