While old Hollywood bobs may have been trending all over the red carpet at the 2025 Golden Globes, Emma Stone totally made a case for sporting a much shorter ‘do when she debuted an eye-catching new pixie cut at the award show.
The dramatic hair transformation, which was carried out by celebrity hairstylist Mara Roszak certainly caught our attention as it’s Stone’s shortest hair look yet. However, we were even more so intrigued by her new “nutmeg” hue that was expertly crafted by Schwarzkopf Professional’s U.S. Creative Director of Color & Technique Tracey Cunningham. The warm shade is a much more natural copper tone that’s slightly darker than Stone’s signature ruby red color.
While achieving natural copper tones is known for being pretty tricky, Cunningham was able to achieve Stone’s look with Schwarzkopf Professional’s IGORA VIBRANCE Demi-Permanent Color Line. As the line features an extensive range of red shades and boosters, she was able to craft a beautifully natural, multidimensional red hue that boasted a glass-like shine. To ensure long-lasting vibrancy, Cunningham finished the look with a gloss overlay to lock in the rich red tones for maximum wear.
Considering how gorgeous this nutmeg-inspired hue is, we wouldn’t be surprised if it completely takes off following award season. For any colorists looking to create this color at their new hair appointment, below, we’ve shared the exact formula behind Stone’s look.
