Textured Crop
Textured crops have been taking off this year and for good reason: they look good on just about everyone. “This effortless, low-maintenance cut is gaining traction for its versatility,” says McGraw. “Featuring a textured top with tapered or faded sides, it’s a universal fit for various face shapes and hair types.” He suggests making sure you have a good texturizing powder or finishing clay on hand to pair with this hairstyle.
Skin Fade
This year, the skin fade is just as popular as ever. The beauty of this cut is that it emphasizes a tapered low and ultra-tight approach around the sides and back, allowing for a range of customizations on top. “Whether you prefer a short crop or something longer, it’s all about showcasing individual style,” says McGraw.
Texture Emphasis
If you’re a stylist that’s been looking for a sign to start giving texture-heavy looks a try, let this be it. “Overall, we are seeing everyone celebrate and seek out natural waves and curls,” explains McGraw. “For those with straighter hair, layering techniques are being used to simulate texture, encouraging a move away from traditional sleek styles.”
