If you follow any of our socials, you’ve seen the Texture Vs Race Summit 2022 coverage. For this year’s summit, The Tease had the pleasure of being TVR’s official media partner. We not only did pre-promotion but had feet on the ground to get the show some of the amazing work that happened at the summit on November 27th through the 29th.
The event not only increased the education for the attendees but it changed people’s mind and opened people’s hearts! Keya Neal, founder of Texture Vs Race Summit, joins us again this week to discuss in depth about what occurred at the event. Jeffrey Lunnen and Keya go through the agenda day by day discussing what was learned, the hard conversations and the fun experiences they had along the way.
This episode is definitely one to catch especially if you couldn’t make it to the event this year. That way you can catch up on what you missed and get prepared for 2023 just like Keya and her team already are!

“When people are in this process and they buy into the message of elevating the industry and elevating our mindset, people have a tendency to make things about right or wrong versus about choice. It’s about the process.”
“And even if we fail, we fail forward, we fail knowing that, ‘okay, I didn’t do that right. I didn’t make the decision that would have gotten the best result, maybe. But how do I take this, take accountability for it and move on?’.”
“I no longer approach this person from a racial perspective, but a fabric perspective in an individual capacity.”
