As the largest membership program representing beauty professionals, the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) is always looking for ways to support their members and the beauty community as a whole. As licensed beauty professionals all around the world are experiencing financial hardships and closures due to COVID-19, the PBA has stepped up and launched a relief fund to help those in need.
With support from industry partners, the PBA, along with PBA Charities, have created the fund to help keep the industry afloat during these trying times. The PBA COVID-19 Relief Fund will provide a $500 grant to licensed beauty professionals who are struggling due to the pandemic.
The grant is meant to provide emergency funding for temporary needs, such as food and bills. Approval is based on a lottery system so that all eligible applicants have an equal chance of receiving aid.
The PBA wants to remind professionals that we’re all in this together. So, in addition to the relief fund, they’re also offering licensed professionals and non-licensed salon employees a complimentary PBA Preferred Membership. With the membership, beauty professionals will receive the latest on industry news, updates on the current situation and much more.
