French Twist

If you love updos, you’ll be happy to know that French twists are set to be all the rage this spring. According to celebrity hairstylist Mary Kendall, there is so much to love about the classic ‘90s hairstyle. “The French Twist is a great spring look because it’s elevated and sophisticated, yet playful and perfect for any occasion,” she says. “It’s much easier to achieve than you would expect—just grab a French hair pin, my UNITE favorites, and you’re good to go!”
If you’re interested in achieving this look, Kendall shared insights on how she recently created a French twist for her client Morgan Riddle. To begin, she prepped the hair with the 7SECONDS Detangler ($40.50) to nourish and protect, before blow drying. Once the hair was dry, she sprayed the 7SECONDS Glossing Spray ($38.50) to protect from hot tools, while controlling frizz. She then used a 1 ¼-inch Babyliss Curling Iron to add softness to ends then ends, followed by BOOSTA Finishing Spray ($37.50) and MAXCONTROL Spray ($37.00), using a toothbrush to smooth the sides and keep the bun pieces in place.
The Italian Bob

We already know that 2025 is shaping up to be the year of the bob. However, if there is one bob in particular that needs to be on your radar, it’s the Italian bob. Characterized as a chin-skimming cut with rounded, face-framing edges and lots of volume at the root, the Italian bob is a chic and effortless hairstyle that’s highly versatile.
“The Italian bob evokes classic Italian glamour, inspired by icons like supermodel Chrissy Turlington, Monica Bellucci, or modern interpretations seen on runways,” said celebrity hairstylist Ricky Mota. “I love this hairstyle for spring because it embodies effortless sophistication with a chic, relaxed vibe. Its popularity aligns with the season’s fresh, playful energy and the increasing embrace of low-maintenance styles that still look polished.” Mota adds,“This style is versatile by working with various hair textures and its ability to be styled sleek, tousled, or wavy. This cut looks stunning even with minimal styling, making it ideal for those seeking effortless beauty.”
If you have a client that’s interested in getting an Italian bob, they will need to get regular trims to keep the look fresh. As for styling their bob, Mota recommends blowdrying their hair with one of his favorite volumizing sprays, the EXPANDA Volume ($36.50), to achieve root lift, as well as the SMOOTH&SHINE Styling Cream ($33.50) for softness and shine.
‘90s Supermodel Blowout

‘90s-inspired blowouts are having a moment, with many people vying for the big, bouncy, and fluffy hair that once defined supermodels like Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, and Tyra Banks. “The ‘90s supermodel blowout is an elevated classic that gives off an effortless ‘it-girl’ vibes,” says pro stylist Jenn Lagron.
Hoping to give one of your clients a ‘90s supermodel blowout? Lagron has some helpful insights. “To achieve the most volume, bounce, and lift for this style, you’ll want to add lots of face-framing layers, as well as layers throughout the whole cut,” she says. “There are endless ways to create this style including using a heated round brush, rollers, or a large curling iron. To finish the look, flip your head over and apply the TEXTURIZA Spray ($43.00) from roots to ends to make it extra bombshell, voluminous, and full.”
