Dusty Schlabach, is a 20-year stylist empowering both curl specialists and the global curly hair community with an integrated ecosystem of resources, networks, and education that prioritize curly hair styling.

Known to millions as “Curl Vision” Dusty is THE most influential Curl Specialist in the world (2M+ followers on social media). In building an entire ecosystem dedicated to curly hair with platforms like CurlVision and CurlMaps, and destinations like Thairapy, he’s on a mission to redefine what it means to take care of people and their natural curly hair by challenging industry norms and empowering people to embrace the beauty of their natural texture… without compromise. 

Today, he specializes in dry curly cuts that embrace the hair’s natural texture and are uniquely tailored for each client. From real curly civilians as he calls them to creators and more (like the Kalogeras Sisters), Dusty takes a people-first approach to make people feel good and confident with the best version of their curly selves.

In November 2025, he introduced the first-to-market salon concept that will forever change the access, cost and experience for those with curly hair (an unperfected market that is set to reach $15.7 billion by 2031) with the flagship opening of Curly Hair Salon in Fullerton, CA. In the 2k+ square foot salon there will be something unexpected – no sinks, no hot tools, no product application, and absolutely no brand merchandising or transactions. This salon will immediately fill the gap in the market by providing excellent and efficient curly, wavy, and coily hair haircuts at an accessible price point (under $100), with experienced curly hair specialists, with no waitlist and under 60-minute appointments.
