The Hair Shop Just Introduced a Stylist Ambassador Program—Meet Their New Core Artists

Since its launch in 1988, The Hair Shop has been a brand that hairstylists, beauty enthusiasts, and everyday consumers can count on for high-quality extensions for all their incredible hair transformations. Now, after 36 years of excellence, the hair extension company remains just as committed as ever to elevating the extensions space and has even enlisted the help of some of the hair industry’s biggest and brightest stars as part of their new professional Ambassador Program.

Consisting of five Core Artists, The Hair Shop’s Ambassador Program brings together a group of highly-talented stylists and colorists to connect, inspire,and uplift hair enthusiasts with their hair extension artistry: Ursula Stephen, Daniel Mora, Irinel de León, Beau Dieda, and Andrea Lopez. While each of these hair pros are known individually for their unique specialities and beautiful work, collectively, the fivesome are dedicated to advancing the craft of hair extensions in the beauty industry.

“When we chose our group of five Core Artists, we wanted a diverse and well-rounded mix of individuals who each bring their unique set of skills, background, and experiences,” said Margaret Fowler, Director of Marketing at The Hair Shop. “All five of our Core Artists are not only top customers of The Hair Shop, they’re genuine fans of our products which was super important to us as well. In today’s world, it’s easy to spot brand ambassadors who are just reading from a script instead of sharing their real experiences.”

With their role as Core Artists, the collective will be tapped to provide exclusive content for the brand, sharing trend insights, tips and techniques, and education. Additionally, they will also participate in class features and support The Hair Shop’s product innovation. While the company is focused on utilizing each pro’s expertise in this partnership, Fowler expressed that they also hope to highlight their role as partners of their Core Artists. 

“We’re here to share their stories and elevate their journeys in every possible way,” she said. “We’re dedicated to collaborating with our ambassadors, bringing innovative ideas to the table, and working together to develop new products and expand our assortment, ensuring we consistently offer the very best.”

The Tease: What first drew you to The Hair Shop?

Ursula Stephen: I was introduced to The Hair Shop by a client many years ago. They became my go-to because not only did they have great products but the customer service and knowledgeable sales people made my experience memorable every time. I always left feeling confident and ready to work!

What’s most exciting about your new partnership with The Hair Shop? And what can we expect to see from you and the brand in the coming months?

Stephen: Besides access to great hair extensions and tools, one of the most exciting things about this partnership is the community of hairstylists that I get to connect and build with. It feels great to share space with other stylists that speak the same language. I really look forward to creating some memorable looks with the brand this upcoming award season.

Can you share any hair success stories that you’ve had using The Hair Shop extensions recently?

Stephen: My latest success story using The Hair Shop extensions was this last weekend in Austin, Texas. I went with my client Ariana DeBose to promote her new film at the Austin Film Festival. She wanted a low, long, sleek ponytail. I was so happy that I packed the 808 Straight Hair from The Hair Shop! Sometimes you don’t know what your clients want/need until showtime, so I’m happy that I was fully prepared!

Many find a natural look that helps them feel like themselves again, while others discover how extensions can restore the length and fullness they miss, significantly boosting their spirits. Can you share any hair success stories that you’ve had using The Hair Shop extensions recently?

de León: Recently, I worked with a client who was preparing for a big event and wanted to add lots of length and volume, but she had shoulder-length hair. Using The Hair Shop’s 7-Piece Clip-Ins, we were able to create a completely seamless blend, giving her the length and volume she dreamed of while giving the illusion that it’s her own hair because of the perfect color match. The best part? She felt completely confident and couldn’t believe how natural and comfortable the extensions looked and felt. Seeing her reaction was everything!

Dieda: One recent hair success story that stands out is when I used The Hair Shop extensions for a client who wanted a complete transformation for a special event. She had fine hair and wanted to add both volume and length, but still keep everything looking natural. We used the keratip extensions, and the result was stunning! The extensions blended seamlessly with her natural hair, giving her the confidence boost she was looking for. It’s moments like that —seeing how a simple change can make someone feel so empowered—that make working with The Hair Shop so rewarding.

The Tease: What first drew you to The Hair Shop?

Andrea Lopez: What initially attracted me to The Hair Shop was definitely their store itself! Upon entering for the first time, I felt like I had stepped into extension paradise. The array of wigs and various extension techniques piqued my curiosity, and I vividly recall spotting a large sign promoting their “Master Class,” which I eagerly signed up for right away.

What’s most exciting about your new partnership with The Hair Shop? And what can we expect to see from you and the brand in the coming months?

Lopez: The most exciting aspect of my partnership is the opportunity to collaborate with a brand that values integrity and being able to create new looks with high-quality products. I truly admire what they’re doing through this program, while many hair brands focus on celebrities and influencers, The Hair Shop genuinely considers the needs and desires of hairdressers. I have always aspired to represent a brand that I am deeply passionate about, especially regarding my favorite services. My journey with them has just started, and I am eager to share fantastic content and create beautiful transformations for everyday clients. I’m incredibly motivated to push boundaries and set new trends! 

Can you share any hair success stories that you’ve had using The Hair Shop extensions recently?

Lopez: I believe that every client and model I’ve worked with represents a success in its own right. The joy on their faces is truly priceless. However, one moment that stands out to me is when I had a consultation with a new client who came in tears over her hair loss following Covid. After a year of applying keratin bond extensions, her hair has grown so much that she no longer needs them for length, we now use them just to add fullness.
